Omstead 10th
Anniversary Celebration
The League's
Southwest Iowa Center for Independent Living is playing host to
the first in a series of Olmstead celebrations from 1 to
4 p.m. Monday, June 22, at the Visitors Center at the Glenwood
Resource Center in Glenwood, Iowa. People with disabilities, their
families, advocates and service providers are invited.
The
Olmstead Supreme Court Decision was a milestone decision for people
with disabilities. Come and celebrate this historic Decision,
hear from people with disabilities how this Decision has helped
them to remain independent and have choice, and learn ways you
can become involved.

ADA Training,
Celebration in Norfolk
The League of Human
Dignity, in cooperation with Northeast Community College in Norfolk,
is sponsoring two free ADA training sessions July 22 and 23 at
the Life Long Learning Center at the college. The sessions will
be 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. July 22, covering ADA Titles I and III,
of interest to businesses; and 9 a.m. to noon July 23, covering
Title II, of interest to state and local governmental entities.
Registration is required
and space is limited to 50 in each session. For registration forms,

10.
Following the second
training session, from noon to 2:30 p.m. July 23, the public is
invited to Norfolk's annual ADA Anniversary Celebration,
